Dear Friends,

As a volunteer-supporter of Tupelo Press, I’m participating, for the third time, in a fund-raising effort called The 30/30 Project. Throughout the month of September, I will draft a poem every day and Tupelo will share it with the public.

What this makes possible, what Tupelo brings to the world, is books, many of the most pathbreaking works to emerge during its two and a half decades in publishing.

Alongside its sibling program, Tupelo Quarterly, the press creates a community of writers that encourages just-beginning teens and college interns while bringing to print the most accomplished poets of all ages.

This is synergy, and it lives as its funding continues. This is why I’m joining the poetry-drafting marathon that is 30/30.

I’ll need a boost before the clock starts and some cow bells along the route. Please consider supporting me in supporting Tupelo as, throughout the month of September, I draft a poem every single day. Tupelo makes it easy for you to follow my daily progress.

Let’s advance beautiful new books of poetry. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Deborah Kelly

Note: By way of thanks, for every gift of $100 or more, I will send a quality-printed broadside of a 30/30 poem, once completed. You choose which one. For every gift of $300 or more, you may request a poem on a subject of your choice, other than one marking a very special occasion.
