Support my Poetry and Help Amplify Tupelo Press's Diverse Network of Authors!
Help me meet my goal, please give today.
ME AND 30/30:
Your support gives me inspiration and drive as I write a poem each day of May!
Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words. I'll be accompanied by a cohort of other phenomenal poets, each of us writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish.
30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
As a mixed Puerto Rican woman living in the rural Pacific Northwest, I know how hard it is to have our voices heard and promoted by quality journals and presses, so it is an honor to support Tupelo Press as they amplify voices that matter.
You can support us too! Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems by talented, diverse voices in to gorgeous, high quality books.
Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
ABOUT S. SALAZAR:
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, S. Salazar has always felt at home in the mountains. As an English teacher, she strove to show students that success isn’t defined by background.
S. is a mixed Puerto Rican author who's been published in Harpur Palate, The Acentos Review, Booth Journal, Poet Lore, and elsewhere. She's an MFA candidate currently juggling multiple poetry and young adult fiction manuscripts that explore generational trauma, identity, Latinx heritage, diaspora, and mental health. Her debut poetry collection Raíces, Relics, and Other Ghosts (Kelsay Books, 2023) examines topics of disconnection and reconnection to her Puerto Rican roots through trial and error, genealogical exploration, and the search for long-separated familia.
When she isn’t writing, she can be found hiking with loved ones, talking to her parrot, Gizmo, and gushing over every dog she sees.
She can be found @writessalazar on SubStack, TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and X/Twitter, as well as at her website: https://writessalazar.com/
