Writing takes an incredible amount of creative stamina, courage and hope. Your supports gives me the courage to write on, to bare my poetic self day in and day out for the thirty days I will be writing this month.
Tupelo Press has given me this incredible opportunity - they provide the canvas; I bring my words. I am honoured to be accompanied by a cohort of fine poets who will write along with me - thirty poems in thirty days. Through these project poets have gone on to have their work featured in over 2000 journals and over 40 chapboks. Writing a chapbook/ poetry collection has been a dream of mine for years and through this opportunity not only do I move my own project forward, I also support a wonderful press so that it can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
