Help me support a thriving poetry community
Please read, share, and give what you can!
Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
For years I've idealized something I heard about William Stafford. That his writing practice included getting up very early and writing something each day. Now I'm getting a very public chance to try that writing rhythm out :)
Folks, this is the only marathon I'm ever going to run! And I'm asking for your support. I need it to keep at the writing. Not just this month, but from here on out. And, as a beloved, non-profit endeavor, Tupelo Press needs the financial support from efforts like the 30/30 project. I'm trying to help them raise $450 as I turn 45 years old this month.
If my work has encouraged or delighted or moved you in some way: please give what you can to my fundraising goal. I'm deeply grateful for your attention to my work, and to what I'm sweating to produce with my cohort of poem-a-day writers. Thank you!
One of my mentors encouraged me "... to write poetry to have a better life." And that inspiration still anchors, helps, and cheers me. One of my great hopes is that someone's poetry will make your life better, too. Help me to help Tupelo Press keep doing their good work to bring us all voices we need today.
