Greetings!

Thanks for stopping by my Tupelo Press page!

I'm Kaecey McCormick, a writer and poet living and working out of the San Francisco Bay Area. I served as poet laureate for the City of Cupertino (2018-2020), and my poetry and prose have found homes in different journals, including Poetry South, Clockhouse, and One Sentence Poems as well as my chapbooks Sleeping with Demons (Finishing Line Press, 2023) and Pixelated Tears (Prolific Press, 2018).

I'm thrilled to take part in Tupelo Press's 30/30 Project!

During the month of April (which happens to be National Poetry Month!), I'm taking on the challenge of drafting--and posting!--one poem every day to the Tupelo Press website. Tupelo is a non-profit publisher, working hard to keep poetry alive and in the hands of readers.

Read the poems from The 30/30 Project April 2023 here!

Your support provides me with much-needed inspiration to write 30 poems in 30 days! Please consider donating to this small press by sponsoring me during this challenge.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing 30 poems in 30 days. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 220 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Thank you so much for reading my work and supporting Tupelo Press. It means the world to me. I hope you enjoy reading the words of this amazing group of writers, and be sure to drop me a line to chat about poetry or to just say hi!
