Dr. Carmella J. Braniger is a Professor of English at Millikin University, where she teaches creative writing and literature. She has published several narrative poems, over fifty micropoems, and more than a dozen poetry sequences. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Sycamore Review; MARGIE: The American Journal of Poetry; Modern English Tanka; Altas Poetica: A Journal of Poetry of Place in Contemporary Tanka; Ribbons; Chrysanthemums; red lights; Magnapoet; and Eucalypt. Her chapbook, No One May Follow, was published by Pudding House Publications in 2009. More recently, her research and artistic achievement energies have focused on Brill|Sense’s Critical Storytelling series, which series provides a platform for marginalized voices to tell stories about and advocate equal access and opportunity for excluded identities. Contributing to this venture has allowed her to integrate issues of diversity and inclusivity into her scholarly efforts. She currently serves as the Distinguished Warren F. Hardy Professor of English, a post which has given her the chance to research narrative testimony and poetry of witness as genres for processing and sharing our traumatic pasts.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
