Months ago, I applied to 30/30 Project November in Tupelo Press. In November, each day I write a poem. I choose to delve into the topic of trauma and getting better.

This, is also a fundraising program for Tupelo Press, as a nonprofit independent publisher, they do provide a variety of tools and possibilities for poets to write, to share their creative work and to connect. Therefore, your support for my poems in November is also a support to Tupelo Press.

I am an interpreter, translator and a Chinese teacher. I hide answers in poems, reviews and stories among European Review of Books, Asymptote Journal “Translation Tuesdays”, SAND Journal, Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine, Fahmidan Journal, Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Worker’s Literature (HK), Oyedrum, Just a Coin’s Worth of Blue, and some literary translations includes Li Qing Zhao: Spring Hides in the Little Room, An Anthology of the Yuan Dynasty Poetry etc.. My last two TV appearances were on מצב האומה.

Mary Ventura, my Doppelgänger, writes in Chinese and runs her own creative writing magazine project 《字縛》, which encourages Oulipo-styled writing in both Simplified and Traditional Chinese submissions. She has lived in furnaces across China, Israel, and is currently writing in Germany. Her words in Chinese can be found here: https://linktr.ee/maryventura

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month and beyond!

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Thank you!
