I need prompts and deadlines! I have a great idea for my next collection. I just need to write it out loud. Like much of my stuff, it's in the zone where the personal and the political are braided. I'm excited. I'm intimidated. This is where the action happens.
Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that need to be heard. Because that's what small presses do: they create space in the marketplace for a variety of voices.
