I participate in endurance events, including marathon runs and swims, a doctorate in English from Temple University, and continuing to explore my possibilities as a poet. My poems have appeared in Philadelphia Poets, Listening Eye, Poetry Ink, and Hope 2022, among others. Recent swims include a ten-mile swim in the Tennessee River, as well as short events in an ice swim, meet in Vermont. Water protects from phone calls, emails, neighbors' car alarms, and an addiction to Facebook and Wordle. The 30/30 challenge is land-based, but I draw much inspiration from rivers, lakes, and oceans.
