$400 towards $400

I work as a Science Writer in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have a Master of Arts in creative writing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. I've been published in Prairie Schooner and several anthologies, including Nasty Women Poets: an Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse, edited by Grace Bauer and Julie Kane. I live in a cute little granny house with three cats.

Writing a poem after eight hours of writing professionally using the other half of my brain is proving to be challenge! And it has energized me! I come home from writing all day, watch the news and eat a bit, then go into my study at 7 and stay there, reading and writing until the 11:00 pm deadline to submit. I never know what's going to happen when I set my pen to paper, and I love surprising myself! I hope the surprise translates to my readers.

Accompanied by a cohort of fine poets writing thirty poems in thirty days, I have the honor of supporting one of the finest literary presses in the United State. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

To my sponsors, I will send a handmade poetry postcard to the address provided in he donation form.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Sponsor me today!
