You can have a cultural impact!

Help me meet my goal, please give if you have a moment and a few dollars to spare.

$500 towards $500

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write a poem each day this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

I am a multidisciplinary thinker, creator, and problem solver aspiring to contribute to a more understanding, compassionate, and functional world. After studying violin performance at Manhattan School of Music, I completed a BA in Cognitive Science at Brown University, a bike ride across America for affordable housing, and an MSc in mathematics at McMaster University. I now work as an aerospace engineer for Rocket Lab in Toronto, Canada. I also have a parallel career as a poet! My first full-length collection of poetry, Two Doors, was published in 2019 by Clare Songbirds Publishing House. Other of my poems and book reviews have appeared in Prairie Fire, Vallum, Tupelo Quarterly, Poetry Pause (the League of Canadian Poets' daily e-series), High Shelf Press, and Wild Roof Journal. You can find my space on the web at julia-gibson.com.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write at my best and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press by giving today.

Thanks for your time, and I wish you all the best in 2022.
