Anne Walsh is a poet and a story writer whose work falls somewhere on the border of those two countries. Sometimes she’s a dual citizen, but most times she has no country. Most times she's illegal everywhere; a local nowhere. She has been shortlisted twice for the Australian Catholic University Prize in Literature & for the Newcastle Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared in Cordite, Mascara, Canberra Times, Backstory, Other Terrain, Verity La, Poem & Dish, FemAsia, Not Very Quiet, Pink Cover Zine, Heroines Anthology (Neo Perennial Press), Glimmer Train (U.S.), and as part of The Monologue Adventure in Sydney, 2019. Her two books of poetry are: I Love Like a Drunk Does (Ginninderra Press,’09), Intact (Flying Island Books,’17).

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
