Tucker Riggleman is an Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area AmeriCorps member serving with ArtSpring in Thomas, WV. He is a musician and poet in love with the woods and water of his home, West Virginia. His work has been featured in the Travelin’ Appalachians Revue zines, The Good News Paper, Fluent Magazine, and in his self-published book of poetry, Japanese Maple.

This project will help me grow as a writer and further hone my craft. I embrace the challenge of writing thirty unique poems throughout the month. Poetry is something very dear to my heart, and my writing has gotten me through a lot of difficult times in my life. I hope to provide some insight into my writing process and the themes and imagery that I apply to my poems with my donors throughout this fundraising campaign. Thank you so much for helping to support not only my own writing, but also the fine work that Tupelo Press does for the independent publishing world.

I am offering some incentives for those who donate:

$15 - a personal email detailing my writing process and the symbolism/imagery that I incorporate in a lot of my poems. I will also include a couple of unpublished poems that only a handful of other folks have ever seen!

$30 - a handwritten postcard + the above email :)

$50 - a ONE OF A KIND pocket-sized poetry zine made by me and mailed to you!

$100 - a poetry reading in your town - in your house! So long as you live within a reasonable traveling distance from me, I will drive to you and do a live reading at your house. This can be a dinner party, an open mic style reading, or a punk rock show - I am down with whatever kind of arts event you'd like to make this into and invite your friends & family! (please consider covering my gas or passing a hat so that happens if that's ok!)

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

I personally feel that supporting independent artistic endeavors such as Tupelo Press is beneficial to all writers, and extremely important in the DIY arts community today.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
