Poet Bio: Francesca Moroney is a writer, health advocate, and anti-bias activist. Her work has appeared online in Light and Dark Magazine and at Everyday-Democracy.org. She lives with her husband, their five children, and two large and unwieldy dogs at their home in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Hello, friends:

A few years ago, I finally decided to listen to the little voice inside my head that I had been ignoring for so long. In a welcome departure from the academic and corporate writing that had made up the bulk of my professional writing experience, I have decided to explore a variety of creative styles - essays, short stories, and, especially relevant for this campaign, poetry.

Tupelo Press has generously welcomed me to their 30/30 program: for 30 days during the month of October, I will write and share one poem every day. This program serves two purposes: 1) it is a creative fundraiser for this nonprofit press and 2) it requires a commitment from me to write and share my words. Your support - financial or otherwise - will inspire and support me as I undertake this creative challenge.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, and I bring my poems, accompanied by other fine poets, also writing 30 poems in 30 days. 30/30 poems have been accepted by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every comment, share, "like," "love," or dollar contributed gives me courage to write more, and helps Tupelo Press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
