Poet Bio: Mitchell Nobis is a writer, teacher, and aging pickup basketball player. A Philip Levine Prize semi-finalist, his work has appeared in or is forthcoming from Hobart, Rockvale Review, the Outrider Press anthology The Stars, Ponder Review, STAND Magazine, and others. He also co-authored the book Real Writing: Modernizing the Old School Essay. He is a co-director of Red Cedar Writing Project in mid-Michigan and, for one more month, the president of Michigan Council of Teachers of English. He is a farmboy transplanted to Metro Detroit, where his sons beat him up with lightsabers while his wife rolls her eyes at the lot of them. Find him at @MitchNobis.
