Poet Bio: Janel Spencer is a poet and teacher from Tucson, Arizona. She is a member of Calypso Editions Press, contributing editor for Poetry International, and co-founder of Best Hybrid Works Press. Her work has appeared in Madwoman Etc, TSPJ, Hyperion, and The San Diego Poetry Annual.
Author Statement: To always find time for writing what I want, to make a career of teaching what I love, and to publish books that move others with their honesty, beauty, revelations, and rebellions.
