Poet Bio: Tish Lester is an epicure, true friend, whiskey fiend, and recovering ex-pat. She is the former reviews editor of the online magazine The Whiskey Wash, where her love of writing and love of spirits enjoyed a brief, but happy marriage. Tish finds immense inspiration in the natural world, and regards one's relationship with nature as one of the most intimate and important relationships in one's life. As well as writing prose and poetry, Tish adores reading and listening to the works of other poets; disappointed at having been born with only one pair of eyes, she believes that through the poetry of others we can experience the world in new ways, impossible to us before. Tish's own poems have been published in past issues of Knock Journal from Antioch University Press, and she can be found writing and generally mooning about in the foggy foothills near Portland, OR.

For those of you who know me, I don't share my work easily. Asking for your support for Tupelo goes against all my self-preservation instincts! Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month, sharing my words and world with you without reservation.

Tupelo Press is the prestigious publisher of amazing voices. Through my years living abroad, my subscription to Tupelo was an essential connection to homeland and a contributor to my own growth as a person and a writer. This fundraiser is not only a very worthy cause, but a way I can repay - in a small way - what Tupelo Press has done for me. In this month of giving thanks, join me in thanking Tupelo Press for their fine work!

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise. Subscriptions are a great way to get even more satisfaction from your gift - browsing Tupelo's archives can uncover even more delicious dividends.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
