Author Statement: I'm currently working on a collection of "rural voice" poems. These are much more narrative than the poems in my book, in some ways, and are meant to tell the story of the people I see every day in rural Indiana. I always want to try new things with my poetry, both as a way of saying new things and of keeping myself interested. My main goal for my art in general is connection.
