Poet Bio: Darren Wilson did not intend anything when born. For who peeks into existence from the eve of life and predestines their path? Despite this, a few years after being born in Manhattan, New York, Darren was whisked away to the Middle-east, where Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon were his homes for several years. Yet, at the age of 6, life would move on again, and by the time he was 17, Darren had lived in Africa, Europe and finally returned to the United States just in time for senior year.

Darren has made questioning life a staple of his existence and this is evident in all his work. He has explored many arts. Sketching, acting, photography, sculpting, painting, filming, and has loved each one, but none so devotedly as with writing. That lead him to attain a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. And so, we find ourselves in the present, ever searching for the heart of life. A tribute to the moment: "We don't intend to live and we don't intend to die, neither do we intend to love, but we do intend to question: in that, we search for truth – the greatest pursuit of the soul."

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
