For as long as I can remember, poetry has been a source of healing and inspiration for me. I write to make meaning out of challenging experiences. As both a social worker and a poet, I believe in the power of language to deepen empathy, foster resilience, and encourage hope. Your support helps me grow as a poet while also helping Tupelo Press continue to publish bold and diverse writers whose voices deserve to be heard.
For this project, Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing a poem a day this month--poems that are ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
