Join me in creating + supporting creators!
During the month of May, I will be one of ten poets participating in the Tupelo Press 30/30 project, which means I’ve made a commitment to write a new poem every day for 30 days.
Each poem I write will be ‘published’ on the Tupelo website so you can read along as I go.
If you’re not familiar with Tupelo, it’s a nonprofit indie literary press that publishes (great!) work from emerging and established writers, so this 30/30 project is one of the ways they fund their work.
My goal is to find 40 people who believe in me, my writing, and the importance of the arts enough to donate $10 each — with the final goal being $400.
I know there are so many worthy causes asking for your attention and generosity. I feel that pull daily too.
But something I’ve said for a long time is that two of the best things we can do to resist the dehumanization that is at the heart of so many problems in the world are to 1) see the humanity in others and 2) practice being even more human.
Making things and supporting people who make things is SO human and incredibly important to healing our imaginations and relationships. I hope you’ll consider sponsoring me in whatever amount seems right to you. Your support will matter to me & to all the writers, readers, and broader communities who benefit from independent literary publishers.
