I've curated this incredible project for fourteen years now, and this, National Poetry Month it is my turn to give thanks and gratitude to what this project has meant to me, to Tupelo Press, and to our authors, whose books hold a little magic from every donation for these fourteen years!

I hope you'll join me as I (rather breathlessly) embark on sharing my gratitude for this press, the incredible poets we publish, the extended family of poets we teach, share exposure with, and learn from, and this nation we love so deeply.

I will be working this month from Gentle House in Port Angeles, a space donated to Tupelo Press in order to share what an incredible, fertile landscape the Olympic Peninsula is. I'm traveling this month a bit, hosting poets, bidding farewell to a giant of a man, celebrating forthcoming books, and paying homage to some of the beauty that carries me through these turbulent times. I hope you'll follow along and read the offerings of my cohort as well. Share the work if you like it, donate if you can. Let's show the world that words still carry beauty, joy, and magic, and that they can bring out our better angels.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
