Thirty days of poems, supporting Tupelo Press!

My name is nat raum and I am a poet, artist, and editor based in Baltimore, MD. As the owner of my own small press, I know firsthand the impact of connecting with a publisher who cares about platforming diverse voices. I'm hopeful that y'all will join me in supporting Tupelo Press while I participate in the 30/30 Project this April.

nat raum (they/them, b. 1996) is a queer disabled artist and writer based on unceded Piscataway and Susquehannock land in Baltimore. They hold an MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore and a BFA in Photography and Book Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. nat is the editor-in-chief of fifth wheel press, the web editor of Welter, and a first reader at MEMEZINE. They are the author of fruits of the valley, journal of various worries, this book will not save you, and many chapbooks, full-length collections, and photography publications. Past and upcoming publishers of their work include Poet Lore, beestung, Baltimore Beat, Split Lip Magazine, Poetry Online, and others. Find them online at natraum.com.

nat’s creative practice centers primarily upon their lived experience with loss and sexual trauma, as well as queerness, disability, and their C-PTSD and borderline personality disorder diagnoses. They are an avid maker of books and zines, including and especially hybrid publications. After over five years of working with an art therapist, their work has become an integral part of their healing process.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press!
