Help a wonderful independent nonprofit press keep literary voices diverse.
Please join me--our support can make a difference!
For over twenty years, Tupelo Press has been producing beautiful books by emerging and established poets and writers. This February, I am participating in Tupelo's 30/30 Project, with the goal of writing a poem a day and raising funds to support the press.
During the month I'm hoping to generate poems that focus in the moment: this moment in my personal life and this moment in the world around me. My poems have appeared in SALT, Persimmon Tree, Anacapa Review, and About Place Journal, among other publications, and I am author of the chapbook Field of Everlasting. I previously participated in Tupelo Press's 30/30 project in September 2023, and was fortunate to be a Gentle House resident in January 2024. Having lived in California most of my life, I moved to New England in 2025, where I live with my husband and our three-legged rescue dog.
For this project, Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing a poem a day this month--poems that are ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write every day this month. Daily poems from the 30/30 group are posted on the Tupelo Press website: https://tupelopress.org/the-3030-project (Poems appear in alphabetical order by author.) Check it out--and feel free to return to the page throughout the month to read new poems.
Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me support this distinguished press. Give today!
With appreciation and warm wishes,
Kris
