Poet Bio: Jacki Rigoni has an M.A. in English from UC Berkeley. As a freelance copywriter and creative director, she has created brand voices for world-class brands, with her writing appearing on TV, videos, outdoor boards, websites, and the back of snack packaging. Poetry has been the private side of her writing until recently, when it resurged as a familiar process of finding meaning in family trauma and reframing life beyond it. Her work appears on WomanUprising.com. She finds loads of material in single parenting her three kids in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Author Statement: The last few years have taught me about living in the rough draft, about getting creative and moving forward when things are far from perfect. I've challenged myself not to be fearless, but to do it anyway, shaking in my boots. For the next 30 days, I hope to hash out a nugget or two, contribute my enthusiasm to this creative community, and grow in my craft as a poet by putting my whole self in and shaking it all about. I hope anyone who stops by for a read leaves a little better for it. I know I will.
