Poet Bio: Alexandra Barylski is a tutor and chronic Lyme patient. Her work explores the exuberence and the exhaustion of embodiment. She wants her poetry to help people understand that health is a collective act, and that we are responsible for one another's bodies.

Her poetry appears or is forthcoming in The Mackinac, Ithaca Lit, Phren-Z, Porter Gulch Review, Ruminate Magazine, Minerva Rising, and elsewhere. She was a finalist for the 2016 Greg Grummer Poetry Prize, The Fairy Tale Review Poetry Prize, and the 2017 Yessamee Journal Poetry Prize. Her chapbook Imprecise Perishing is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
