My poems can make a difference!

Poet Bio: I am a 66 year old practicing urgent care physician. A couple years ago I returned to my love of writing, and decided writing poetry would be a more secure way of financing my retirement. Despite several published poems in journals such as GFT: Press, Ink in Thirds, Writing Raw, Still Crazy, Le'phemere, and an honorable mention in this years Concrete Wolf chapbook contest, I've found it necessary to keep my day job. My daughters are quite relieved.

Author Statement: I am very excited for the opportunity to take part in the Tupelo Press 30/30 contest. Not only would I like to encourage your sponsorship, but would love prompt suggestions to keep me going. I was very excited when my eldest daughter decided on a destination wedding in Costa Rica, then discovered I had to repel down a waterfall to make it to the ceremony. Please don't leave me hanging!
