This is my second time doing a 30/30 with Tupelo Press. Over the years, I have become a big fan of this press, which I believe I once heard refer to themselves not as a small press or a big press, but a "medium press". That is a big part of why I want to support Tupelo. They are small enough to be in touch with up-and-coming poets, helping them to find their voices, but big enough that they are well-resourced and really able to promote the work of their authors.
Over the years, they have provided me a stage to perform on at AWP, published my reviews, and been an incubator for me to write more poetry.
More than anything, they've refused to silence their ethos around diversity, equity and inclusion in this time of so much silencing.
