Durin Chappe's Fundraiser
Please give what you can today, so that poetry will be there tomorrow.
I was chosen recently to write a poem a day for the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project, now in its tenth year. Each month a new group of poets chosen by Tupelo sets sail on a quest to write a poem for each day of the given month. Hence 30/30. Beginning February 1st, with Tupelo providing the crucible and the canvas, I'll begin producing and publishing my own month's worth of poems for your delectation.
It is the intent of Tupelo to stimulate more interest in contemporary poetry by providing a glimpse of the act of creation in mid-stride - poetry in a petri. Whether polished and ready for the editor's pen or still raw, all of the our poetry will be on display.
The year has already produced much poetry of distinction, here, from the poets of January:

The "hat" I'm passing around is part of the fundraising on which Tupelo Press relies, which allows them to publish high-quality, lyric poetry and fund fellowships for its writers. Poems from the 30/30 Project have appeared in over 200 journals and are featured in over 40 published chapbooks. With your contribution, Tupelo Press can continue to publish unusual and diverse voices that might otherwise go unnoticed. Please give what you can and most of all, enjoy the poems.
