$2,205 towards $1,000

Jeffrey began the Tupelo 30/30 project twelve years ago and perennially joins participants to experience the inspiration and energy of the project, and support the press in so doing. The 30/30 project is a powerful and well known generative resource and each dollar raised lives on in the books we publish each year. Your donation allows us to expand the reach of diverse poetic voices at a time when we need them most.

Jeffrey Levine founded Tupelo Press 25 years ago, and in this time he has succeeded in firmly establishing Tupelo Press as one of the preeminent literary publishers in the country. Jeffrey, now 75 years old, sees this long-lived enterprise as the highlight of his career. In addition to his work as a translator (Neruda’s Canto General), he himself is a nationally recognized poet, with three published books of poetry (and one on the way), many awards from magazines and journals, and 23 Pushcart Prize nominations. Jeffrey Levine is so very gratified to be entering into his 26th year as Publisher & Artistic Director of Tupelo Press.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 200 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
