Author Statement: Somewhere deep inside where the meadows and birds are playing each with each, a little girl's laughter wants to be freed to shine along with the sun and dance beneath a thunderstorm. There is a voice that whispers let the natural world tell you all about its wandering. There are women's voices, ancestral ones that encourage innovation and serenity—the twins of creativity. And there are grandfathers who say that you know your power, if only you would unleash it. For these, I write. For you, I will share thirty gems. May they sparkle to your delight and leave you with a few glittering crumbs to follow on your own path. . .

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
