Poet Bio: Joanne M. Clarkson's fourth poetry collection, Believing the Body, was published in 2014 by Gribble Press. She was awarded a GAP grant from Artist Trust to complete her next full-length volume. Poems have appeared recently in Rhino, The Baltimore Review, Emrys Journal, The Healing Muse and Fjords Review. Joanne has Master's Degrees in English and Library Science. She has taught and worked as a professional librarian. After caring for her mother through a long illness, she re-careered as a Registered Nurse specializing in Home Health and Hospice care. This spring she published her first non-fiction book, There's Always a Miracle: True Stories of Death Before and After Life, 24 pieces about her experiences as a Hospice RN.
