Poet Bio: Pamela Paek exists. Chilly, a 15-year old Goffin cockatoo she adores, makes her laugh. Like this photo, Pamela will look ahead while Chilly will grouch and demand a pause. Pamela does not tend to publish, although a few times when she was young in the mid-90s, she submitted and got lucky with Aileron, Lynx Eye, and Apocalypse.

Author Statement: I write every day, with many words lost because I didn't save the file, back up old computers, or because I abandoned the scraps of paper – many in a box in an attic of a previous house, or because I threw them away. My ideas aren't meant to be held onto.

So, what will come out in the 30/30 will be what's most present for me, which tends to be heartache, as writing is the one place I can hold my most tender brokenness and spill whatever words emerge. For every day of November 2016, I will shatter my hermitude and let anyone in to witness what I so carefully hide, to raise funds for Tupelo Press, because I believe in what these people do for the world.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
