Poet Bio: Lisa DeSiro is among the 30/30 Project alumni featured in the anthology Thirty Days: The Best of the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project's First Year. Her poems have also been published in various print and online journals, and set to music by several composers. She is a two-time participant in the Colrain Poetry Manuscript Conference, and was a semi-finalist this year for The Word Works Washington Prize. Along with an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University, Lisa has degrees from Binghamton University, Boston Conservatory, and Longy School of Music. She's an accomplished pianist, and is employed as Production & Editorial Assistant for C.P.E. Bach: The Complete Works. In her free time she enjoys yoga and running. Artist statement: When I participated in the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project in April 2013, it was a rewarding experience on many levels: the daily ritual of writing; the creation of thirty poems (some of which have just recently been accepted for publication); the diverse community of fellow writers; the support and encouragement from friends and family; the opportunity to help a local press produce beautiful books. For all of those reasons, I've decided to "run" again and keep the good karma flowing. Lately I've been focused on revising and submitting, rather than writing. By committing to another poem-a-day marathon, I'll challenge myself to face the proverbial blank page and generate new material—most of which I hope will be inspired by requests from sponsors. My goal last time was to write in a different form every day. This time, I'm attempting a series of acrostics. Stay tuned... and thanks for reading!

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
