Invitation: Let me write poems for you! For every tax-deductible donation of any amount that you make to Tupelo Press, give me a word, image, title, or topic, and I'll incorporate it into a poem. I love getting prompts. Let's have fun with this!

About Me: I live in the rural southeastern Ohio village of New Concord, where I teach English at Muskingum University. I'm working on a collection of poems and prose poems about the history, culture, people, geology, and geography of this place I call home. Daily writing is a vital meditative practice for me, and I'm excited to be using this writing to raise funds for Tupelo Press. My work has appeared in Zone 3, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Creative Nonfiction, Narratively, Silk Road Review, Allegro Poetry Review, Eyedrum Periodically, The Ilanot Review, and other publications. I'm also the author of a memoir, Fiddle: One Woman, Four Strings, and 8,000 Miles of Music (Citadel-Kensington).

Read the Poems: If you'd like to take a look at the poems I and my fellow 30/30 poets have written so far this month, click here. There are some great poems being written this month, so check them out!
