In celebration of my friend Nick Regiacorte's new book, AMERICAN MASSIF, just published by Tupelo Press (insert applause!), I'm writing a poem-a-day for May through Tupelo's 30/30 challenge. That's a lot of poems, so I might as well write one of them for you!
Here's how it works:
1. Make a donation of $20 or more to Tupelo Press.
2. In your comment, give me EITHER 5 random words OR a title OR a poetic form (nothing huge like a sonnet crown) OR a theme OR some other set of instructions (within reason), and I'll take it from there!
Please note that I retain copyright to the poem and reserve the right to publish it elsewhere, given the chance. That said, it may remain yours in your heart of hearts. So, shared custody.
