Poet Bio: Joni Jackson is a writer and blogger who lives and works in Jamaica. She is co-founder of the Drawing Room Project and blogs at https://coffeetableconversations.wordpress.com. She is a Calabash International Literary Festival Trust Fellow (poetry) and her poetry has appeared in the Sunday observer Bookends Magazine, the anthology So Much Things to Say: 100 Poets from the first 10 Years of the Calabash International Literary Festival and Firestick: A Collection of New Established Caribbean Poets produced by The Drawing Room Project Association.

Author Statement: I am taking a creative challenge, a leap into the depths by being a part of the Tupelo Press 30/30 project. I will be writing one poem each day for 30 days in July and these poems will be posted on the Tupelo Press 30/30 website. You are invited to join me in meeting my other goal as part of this project - raising $500 dollars - which will go to Tupelo Press to help them continue to make available, through publication, the works of many more great poets.

Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!
