The DETAILS: Each day in December, I will write a new poem and Tupelo will post it. All money raised will go to support the incredible TUPELO PRESS! The theme for my experiment is: ODES.

An ode is technically "A formal, often ceremonious lyric poem that addresses and often celebrates a person, place, thing, or idea" (thanks Poetry Foundation). But for this adventure, just think of it as a poem of praise or celebration.

So, with that in mind, I am offering (yet another) UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY:

For a TEN dollar donation: You can pick any OBJECT or PLACE you want and I will title and write an ode for YOU about that OBJECT or PLACE and post it at Tupelo. Just write the OBJECT or PLACE name in the notes section of your donation.

For a TWENTY dollar donation: I will write you an ode to a PERSON. Please note that famous or fictional is easiest. I make no guarantees if you pick someone less lofty.

If you want to give less, or more, but don't want poems, go right ahead! And thank you in advance, to everyone for supporting poetry in these days where odes can be hard to come by!

The MISSION: These are heavy, heavy times. We can own and name our griefs and losses while still being able to sing our odes. Help support an amazing press while also encouraging me to write poems again after a rather long fallow period. It is such a joy.
