$456 towards $400

Thank you for visiting my 30/30 fundraiser page! Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month.

Tupelo Press provides the canvas; I bring my words, accompanied by a cohort of fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps the press place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today!

Reward Tiers: (Please note that the reward tiers will be closed once the fundraising goal is met.)

Tier 2: Donation of $50+: Tier 1 + Commission a poem by me! You pick the subject and I'll write a poem. You can also request a dedication for the poem. (Please send an email with a screenshot or copy of your receipt to contact@rana-tahir.com to let me know the poem subject and to receive the poem in September.)

About:

Rana Tahir is a Kundiman Fellow, Radius of Arab American Writers (RAWI) member, treasurer for the Oregon Poetry Association (OPA), and author of two books including a Choose Your Own Adventure novel. She is an educator with experience teaching middle school, high school, and undergraduate courses, and received her MFA from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR.

Born in Pakistan and raised on the beaches of Kuwait, she left home to study writing across the United States. When not at her desk preparing lesson plans, writing, or researching, she can be found jumping into lakes and rivers during long hikes, even though she always forgets a bathing suit and must sit in the car in her cold, wet clothes on the ride home. She is a Cancer sun and moon, so she never regrets being in water. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband Will and their kitten, SweetieBelle.
