Thanks for your support during National Poetry Month as I write a poem a day. The prospect of writing a poem a day is pretty intimidating - but truly inspiring. Writing poetry (and reading it too) helps me wrestle with uncertainty and injustice and tap into the wisdom and beauty all around me.
Here's a little about how this works. Tupelo Press provides the canvas, and I bring my words, accompanied by nine other fine poets who are also writing thirty poems in thirty days. All the work I create is mine to revise and submit as I wish. Amazingly, 30/30 poems have been accepted by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks. And the project makes it possible for Tupelo Press, an incredible publisher, to keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices. I dream of having Tupelo Press publish one of my collections some day.
