$131 towards $350

Please help support my work/online one month residency with Tupelo Press. I'll be writing a poem a day and sharing as much as I can. Any support you can give would be much appreciated and will help me create and share my work with a larger community. My goal in life is to share and publish my poetry in order to help those that need it. This month is another way I can spread my voice, writing, and hopefully compassion. My fundraising goal is $350.00, if you could help me get there it would mean a lot to me! Thank you all!

Artist Statement: Poetry is a way to communicate the uncommunicable. We are often polarized to see the world one way or the other, but poems ask us to let go of sides. Let go of hate. Let loose love and take a dive into ambiguous grey. Grey, the space between black and white; known and unknown; despair and happiness. Where poetry lies I would like to call, hope.

Biography: John Mungiello is the author of Streamlining Oblivion, available on amazon. His poems have appeared in Lucky Jefferson Magazine, CapsuleStories Magazine, and PSPOETS. Currently, he is working on a new book of poems and short stories. He works as a high school art and special education teacher and lives in Riverdale New Jersey with his wife, Laura. Below are some notes about Tupelo Press and the 30/30 project I am a part of.

Tupelo Press is a prestigious non-profit press, for seventeen years their mission has been to publish new voices. They are giving my work some exposure, and bringing me into a community of over 350 alumni helping each other publish our work.

Today you have a chance to help one of the few, and one of the best non-profit independent publishers we have. To help them survive and continue to put more poets into print. Here is what you are supporting:

There are so many ways you can support the press. A subscription to fabulous books of poetry, sent to your home. A one-time donation at any level. I hope you consider supporting me, and supporting this amazing press I am representing this month.

Every dollar helps the press place more of these poems in books. Help me help this press and share my poems. Any support would mean a lot to me. Thank you again!
