Carson Pytell is a writer living outside Albany, NY whose work has appeared in numerous venues online and in print, including The Virginia Normal, NōD Magazine, Artifact Nouveau, Rabid Oak and Bluepepper, among others. His short collection, First-Year (Alien Buddha Press, 2020) and chapbook, Trail (Guerrilla Genesis Press, 2020) are both now available. He serves on the editorial board of the journal Coastal Shelf, the inaugural issue of which is available here, and which is reopening to general submissions January 2021 and holding a number of contests in the near future.

Your support will give me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month. Tupelo Press has published some of the finest poets currently working, especially like Maggie Smith and Ilya Kaminsky who is being honored this year with the Anisfield-Wolf Award, and I want to take part in helping the press continue to do just that.

For the 30/30 project, Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit elsewhere as we wish. Past 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices which might never be heard otherwise.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more and goes directly back into the operations of the press, helping them place more poems in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Please give today in any way you can!
