It has been a little over two years since I did my last 10K, with which I discovered a structural anomaly in my heart that resulted to a surgery. This year would have seen me running again -- some 5Ks here, a couple of 10Ks there; the pandemic changed that plan.
My run turned inward instead, allowing me to rediscover my literary voice, which I haven't heard myself for over two decades. Since going back to writing in May, my poems have been published in journals around the world. This November, my precipitous exercise speeds up as I have to write thirty poems in thirty days.
About the Project:
30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices, including mine, that might never be heard otherwise.
