For the month of November, I'll be writing and posting a poem a day as part of the 30/30 project through Tulepo Press. This is both an opportunity for me to generate and share my work, and a fundraiser for an excellent independent poetry press.
Here's where you come in: I'd really love for you to virtually "cheer me on." Now, this is a fundraiser, but there is so much need in the world right now, and if your resources are going elsewhere, please don't feel any pressure to donate! Just a comment or a note of encouragement will mean so much to me. If you have the means and want to support independent publishing, I'd love that too!
As a new mom who is also back to work full-time, I am thankful for this opportunity to stay engaged with my creative self. I'm also thankful for the discipline of poetry in the midst of these uncertain, frightening days. I'm curious about how my 30/30 poems will develop, as I've never written this way before. Posting less-polished, daily work feels strange and honestly kind of terrifying, but it also feels somehow right for this season.
About the Project: 30/30 poems have been taken by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks, all so Tupelo Press can keep publishing exquisite and diverse voices that might never be heard otherwise.
