Your support gives me vital inspiration as I write for thirty days this month. Although the daily discipline is a gift in itself, writing for an audience brings its own rewards. As many of you know, I have been writing for years, both poetry and short fiction. In recent years, however, I have turned my attention to poetry, publishing my first chapbook, Ghosts, July 2019 with Finishing Line Press. Other poems appear in such journals as 15th Anniversary Edition: Best of Philadelphia Stories, an anthology, Cutthroat, A Journal of the Arts, The Dewdrop (Isolation Shorts-online), and From the Depths (Haunted Waters Press-forthcoming). Awards include a Pushcart Prize Nomination, First Place in the Sandy Crimmins National Poetry Prize, and Finalist in the Joy Harjo Poetry Prize, among others. While my short stories have been called "lyrical," many of my poems tell stories. I love watching the two inform each other, and look forward to that marriage on this space.

While Tupelo Press provides the canvas, I bring my words, accompanied by other fine poets, writing thirty poems in thirty days, all ours to edit and submit as we wish. 30/30 poems have been published by over 90 journals and featured in over 40 published chapbooks.

Every dollar gives me confidence to write more, and helps Tupelo Press continue to publish exquisite and diverse voices in gorgeous books. Help me to help this distinguished press. Give today! (Remember: you are not donating money TO ME, but allowing me to be the poetic "vehicle" for the Tupelo Press fundraising project.)
